We all know the story of the Rabbit and the Tortoise. In this classic tale, the Tortoise wins the race because it consistently keeps moving toward the end goal. The Rabbit is fast, but it takes a nap and thus loses the race.
This has led to the belief that slow and steady wins the race. It is difficult for us to imagine otherwise, as this is our pre-conditioning.
However, I believe the essence of the story is that you have to be consistent to achieve anything. Small efforts or changes every day add up to big things. Once we are used to making small changes, we can also make big changes and do them steadily. It is a matter of mindset, attitude, and focus on our goals. This is why I suggest that fast and steady wins faster.
